I’m the Business Intelligence Manager for Mowi Canada West and work out of Port Hardy. I’ve been with the company more than 15 years. First started in New Brunswick where I’m from, then moved to B.C. in 2008.
At work, I make sure our leadership team has the data they need packaged in a simple, straightforward way. The most rewarding thing about my job is when I see the results of durable, data-driven decisions in our operations.
When I’m not at work, I like to visit my daughter, three sons and my grandson. I travel every chance I get with my husky-shepherd mix Sapphire by my side. She was 4 months old when I rescued her, now she’s 13. We’ve been coast to coast three times. At some of the regular places we stay along the way, the staff know us both by name.
People ask me my favourite thing about living and working here on B.C.’s coast. How can I choose just one? It’s peaceful, so close to nature, beautiful. My friends back in New Brunswick ask me when I’m coming home. I tell them, “I am home.”
